Even if you don't have access to Medicare and the Pharmaceutical Benefits Scheme in Australia, you can still access affordable PrEP.

The Victorian Medicare Ineligible (MI) PrEP Program provides access to PrEP for people who are not eligible for Medicare in Victoria.
To be eligible for the Victorian PrEP Program, you must be:
✓ Living in Victoria with a Victorian address
✓ Not on a tourist visa
✓ Not eligible for Medicare

This program is intended to provide access to PrEP and sexual health checkups for people who are not eligible for Medicare in New South Wales.
To be eligible for the NSW PrEP Program, you must be:
✓ Living in NSW for more than a short-term stay
✓ Meet the guidelines to be eligible for PrEP
✓ Not eligible for Medicare
That means a person, at risk of HIV, on a working, working-holiday or student visa may be eligible to apply.

2. Get PrEP posted to you with NSW Sexual Health InfoLink
3. Get PrEP for free at a[TEST]
Using insurance
Health Insurance for visitors, International Students, and those on temporary working visas can claim back up to 100% of clinician visit costs. This includes:

485 insurance for Temporary Graduate Visas; and
-
457 insurance for Temporary Work (Skilled) Visas.
