Once you have made the decision that PrEP is the tool for you all you need to do to get started using PrEP is to see a doctor, get a prescription, and start taking it.

1. Get a test

You must have an HIV test to start PrEP. Your doctor will also test you for other sexually transmitted infections (STIs). Don’t worry, you can get a prescription and start PrEP right away – and get any STI treatment you need.

 

You can ask about vaccinations for sexual health like hepatitis A, hepatitis B, and HPV – and even COVID-19.

2. Buy PrEP
online or at any pharmacy

Once you have a prescription from your doctor you can buy affordable PrEP online to be sent from overseas, or if you have Medicare you can buy it from any pharmacy. Some pharmacies even sell at a discount.
